Space suits from previous missions are generally considered historical artifacts and are priced accordingly, along the same lines as works of art. They cost as much as buyers are willing to pay for them, and include such factors as their roles in history.
A space suit for shuttle or ISS use, made principally by the ILC company in Massachusetts, contains about $2 million in parts. However, if amortize the development and maintenance costs, a flight-qualified space suit costs closer to $20 million in actual cost-of-ownership.
